Alpine Lake was perfect for some July 4th yoga

At the end of June, I got a whisper from "the Universe" that it wasn't time for me to return to the gym as a Fitness Instructor. (Keep reading for yoga offerings...)

And then, like a heavy, loud clap of thunder, I got another message and redirection! The Universe was telling me that my place was in the classroom, and in my massage treatment room. So...plot twist!

Alongside growing my Massage practice, I resumed teaching college Biology. I was asked to teach Anatomy and Physiology II, for the Summer 2 semester. I have a delightful group of ambitious students whose brains are exploding. haha. Here I am appreciating student artwork, a marine nudibranch, outside my classroom:

In addition to teaching...

I am still working in my lab, learning about critters, in Skeen Hall. I'm thinking about conferences that I might attend this fall, and travel. Where should I go? This fall could get interesting!

...and in Massage Therapy news (and mews)

Thank You for your referrals! My practice has been growing with new clients, for whom I am grateful.

July has been "Thai Time", during which ~8 new clients were introduced to Thai Massage.

I will be hosting a Massage fundraiser in August for Broken Promises SW, an animal rescue organization in Las Cruces, to assist with medical expenses for Ron, a sweet orange tabby kitty who is now healing and starting his best life after a life-saving procedure. I cared for him at the Cattery prior to his surgery, and now he is being fostered as he recovers.

Please contribute to the fundraiser and to fur-angel Ron's vet expenses by getting a Massage with me in August!

Amidst the flurry of changes in July, my daily yoga is solid as a rock, and unwavering. But I am shifting away from teaching classes, and back to mostly taking classes as a student. My daily yoga devotion is sacred to me. I love being a student of yoga, and I have several great instructors whose classes are the highlight of my week.

Yoga offerings in Las Cruces:

I am offering some yoga instruction.

I randomly offer yoga outings such as "Hike & Yoga" to my Female Friends fb group. Those are fun- a great get-together for us Las Cruces ladies! Ask me about the group, and join us for yoga some time! And occasionally, I have the honor of filling in for my favorite instructors through Yogamu, the company through which I became certified to teach yoga. Those are last-minute, online, so I don't announce those in advance.

I am always happy to share yoga with anyone who is new to yoga, or with Massage clients who would like to include yoga in their self-care regimen. Yoga is for everyone.

May your July be overflowing with blessings,

and may your August ahead equally flow with good fortune and healthy surprises!
